Bitcoin transaction graphs are public. Every commercial chain-analytics shop has them indexed, and the clustering algorithms that link addresses to identities have been running for years. A Bitcoin deposit can in principle be linked to your funding KYC exchange months or years later if a future investigation pulls the records.
Monero transaction graphs are not public in the same sense. Ring signatures hide the actual sender among decoys; stealth addresses prevent any external observer from linking a recipient to a known wallet. The chain-analytics pressure that BTC carries does not exist for XMR.
Nexus defaults new buyer accounts to Monero. Bitcoin is supported but actively de-emphasised. Treat BTC support as a feature for migrating a legacy balance, not for funding a new account.
Feather Wallet on desktop is the default. Cake Wallet on mobile is the same project family. Official Monero CLI for paranoid setups. All three support subaddresses, view-key import, custom ring sizes. Save the seed when the wallet generates it.
The Nexus deposit page shows a fresh subaddress. Copy it (do not retype). Open your wallet, paste, send. Two minutes to first confirmation, ten minutes to platform credit, more or less.
